Analytical Services
NDE Analytical uses the following techniques to provide a wide variety of problem-solving services.
Services offered using GC/MS:
- Analysis of gas and liquid samples, including extracts of solids using a variety of organic solvents.
- Analysis of organic volatiles and semi-volatiles in petroleum products, lubricants, industrial materials, and many others.
- Qualitative and quantitative analysis of contaminants at sub-parts per billion (ppb) levels.
- Identification of unknown compounds using extensive digitized mass spectra reference libraries (Wiley and NIST).
- Method development and literature search.
Services Offered Using FTIR Spectroscopy:
- Identification of unknown materials in a solid, liquid, or gas form.
- NIR and overtones analysis for moisture and other OH and NH bonds.
- Recording fingerprint (spectrum) of an unknown material and matching it to that of a known reference material.
- Identification of components in complex mixtures using specialized software.
- Qualitative and quantitative analysis using liquid cells.
- Identification of surface contaminants using ATR and other reflectance attachments.
- Method development and literature search.
Services Offered Using HPLC/GPC:
- Qualitative and quantitative analysis of polar and non-polar organic compounds.
- Identification of unknown components using UV-Vis spectroscopy on the fly, including the PDA and fraction collection with FTIR.
- Characterization of aqueous and organic industrial formulations such as cleaning solutions, health care products, etc.
- Characterization of polymers, including oligomers.
- Contaminants analysis of medical devices and industrial products.
- Molecular weight distribution, Mn, Mw, Mz, and PDI.
- Method development and literature search.
Services Offered Using UV-Vis & Fluorescence Spectroscopy:
- Analysis of organic and inorganic compounds that absorb or fluoresce in the UV-Vis region of the spectrum (200–800 nm).
- Analysis of impurities in liquid samples at the parts per billion (ppb) levels.
- Purity verification of compounds.
Outsourcing:
- More analytical services can be provided by outsourcing the work to other labs to provide a one stop service to the client.
- All results from the different labs can be oordined in one comprehensive report and invoice.
General Services:
- Method development using spectroscopic, chromatographic, and general wet chemistry techniques.
- Failure analysis.
- Troubleshooting analysis.
- Literature search
