Literature Searches
Years of experience in literature searches can provide a focussed search for the subject at hand. Traditional data basis such as Chemical Abstracts as well as current resources such as google are usually search at the start. The information obtained will be customized to the needs of the client. As an example of the searches performed, we would search the latest and applicable analytical techniques for a certain analysis using specified equipment or indicating the best instrumentation for the particular analysis. The ease of performing the analysis, the cost of the equipment, the needed skills to perform the analysis, as well as other considerations, will be prioritized for the client. Spectra, chromatograms, and procedures can also be provided.
Custom Sample Preparation
A variety of sample preparation techniques are available, including distillations, column chromatography, solvent extractions, and matrix adsorption.
Consulting
Consulting services on an hourly basis are provided in all the analytical areas provided by NDE Analytical.
Polymer Characterization
There are several techniques available at NDE analytical; FTIR provides the fingerprint and the identification of the chemical nature of the polymer, GPC (SEC) provides the molecular weight and molecular distribution of the polymer, GC/MS provides additional detailed information about the substructure of the polymer and its fragmentation pattern, GC/MS and UV-VIS, as well as FTIR, provide information about additives and stabilizers as well as general impurities in the polymer. Overall, each analysis will provide information to explain the performance of the polymer and to compare batches that failed against those that did not. This is particularly important for critical applications in the medical device industry and other high-performance plastics.
Indicators
Custom visual detection indicators similar to pH indicators can be developed for specific compounds that react with reagents that produce color or fluorescence. A feasibility investigation can be conducted on a particular compound prior to developing the indicator.
